We are thrilled to announce that our very own Raasheda Azim, an alumna of Iman Academy,  appeared on national television on Monday, 27 August 2024 for an insightful interview on SPOTLIGHT. Raasheda was invited to join Kathleen Ruane Leedy, Co-Founder and President of Teen Mediation International (TMI), to discuss the importance of mediation skills for teens.

In the interview, Raasheda spoke with clarity and confidence, embodying the values and principles instilled in her during her time at Iman Academy. With grace and poise, she shared her unique perspective on the power of mediation in resolving conflicts and fostering resilience in young people.

“Learning mediation is not just about resolving conflicts,” Raasheda explained during the interview. “It’s about equipping ourselves with the skills to understand, empathize, and find common ground in any situation. These are life skills that every young person should have, especially in today’s world where challenges are constantly evolving.”
