The Helper

At Iman Academy, we grow stronger by standing together, learning, leading, and living as a community of faith, compassion, and purpose.

Nu'man b. Bashir reported that Muslims are like one body of a person; if the eye is sore, the whole body aches, and if the head aches, the whole body aches.

Sahih Muslim 2586d, Book 45, Hadith 87

Commitment to Sustainability

We don’t just learn about academics; we also focus on making a difference. Our school integrates Sustainable Development Goals into our day to day learning, which means we’re actively contributing to taking care of our planet and its people. It feels great to know that our education helps us make a positive impact on the world.

Serving Our Community

Iman Academy is located in Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia, making it accessible to families in the area. This local focus helps us connect with our community and makes the school feel like a part of our everyday lives. But what truly makes our experience special is our culture of giving. Throughout the year, we engage in multiple projects aimed at raising funds and helping those in need. These activities are more than just charity work, they teach us empathy, compassion, and the importance of contributing to our community. We learn that success is not just about personal achievement but also about how much we can give back.

Supportive Community

Together in Faith and Growth

At Iman Academy, education is not just about books and exams, it’s about belonging to a community that uplifts, encourages, and grows together. Our students, teachers, and families form a close-knit family where every individual is seen, heard, and valued.

In every classroom, playground, and gathering, a spirit of compassion and cooperation is nurtured. Students are taught not only to excel individually but to cheer for each other’s successes, offer help in times of challenge, and reflect the Islamic values of mercy, respect, and unity.

Parents and teachers work hand-in-hand, building a culture where partnerships are rooted in sincerity and shared goals for the holistic development of every child. Through service projects, peer mentoring, and daily acts of kindness, the Iman Academy community becomes a living example of the Prophet Muhammad’s (ﷺ) teaching.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: “The most beloved of people to Allah is the one who brings the most benefit to others.”

(Sahih al-Jami’, Hadith 176)
