On the 7th of August 2024, the Iman Academy Preschool Graduation ceremony was held at the Icon Hyatt Dehiwala, marking a significant milestone for our youngest learners. The event was filled with joy, pride, and heartfelt moments as students, parents, and educators came together to celebrate the achievements of our reception class. The evening was a beautiful reflection of growth, learning, and the bright futures awaiting our little graduates.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome from Mehnaaz Lafeerkhan, who set the tone with an inspiring opening speech. Her words highlighted the importance of this milestone, reminding students of the incredible journey they had undertaken so far. "As you graduate today, remember that this is just the start of many more fun adventures ahead. We are so proud of each of you," she shared.
Following the gathering dua recited by Maheeba Irshan, the ceremony proceeded with a heartfelt welcome speech by students Hudha Fazil and Eisa Emadh, who spoke with confidence and excitement, setting the stage for an evening filled with celebration.
The audience then rose for the Iman Academy School Anthem, filling the hall with a sense of unity and pride. This was followed by a beautiful recitation of Surah Al-Asr by Ilaan Ibrahim Rifau, with the translation by Muadh Alil Ahadal, reminding everyone of the importance of time and patience as the young graduates embark on their new journey.
A highlight of the evening was the special graduation song performed by the students themselves. With bright smiles and joyful energy, they sang a heartwarming song that captured their journey of learning, growth, and the bonds they had formed along the way.
Educator Sarah Muallimah was invited to share her reflections, delivering a heartfelt speech that spoke to the joy and pride of guiding the students through their formative preschool years. She reminded the audience that the success of these little learners was a collective effort, involving the care and support of teachers, parents, and the community.
Next, the audience was treated to a delightful poem recited by Ayman Ilham, Ahsan Azan, Nuha Shakir, and Amber Anshath. The poem captured the excitement and anticipation of moving on to Year One, filled with dreams and aspirations for the future.
Finally, it was time for the moment everyone had been eagerly awaiting—the certificate presentation. As each graduate’s name was called, a PowerPoint presentation highlighted their unique qualities, making the ceremony personal and special for every child. Head of School, Rukshana Hassen, proudly handed out certificates, celebrating the hard work, growth, and joy of every graduate.
The Iman Academy Preschool Graduation Day was a touching and memorable event that honored the achievements of our students and the incredible support from their families and educators. As the ceremony drew to a close, there was a collective sense of excitement and anticipation for the next chapter in these young learners' lives. Alhamdulillah, it was truly a day to remember—a celebration of beginnings, growth, and the bright future that lies ahead for each of our graduates.
